Major Results of the Crusades
The main result of the Crusades was an increase in trade in the Middle East and Europe, as well as an immense amount of lives lost. Also, the real estate of the Roman Church had increased, as all the lease contracts negotiated with illiterate crusaders short of cash, included a term which allowed the church to pocket the land of the knights and nobles who never returned to reclaim their assets.
